What Is It? Hardwood floor buffing is essentially a procedure which is used in order to give your wooden floor finishing the very best appearance possible. Basically, what you’re doing is placing slightly coarse sandpaper on your floors, and then using a power-powered buffing machine for your hardwood floors to remove any excess damage or scratches. This is considered to be one of the most effective ways to keep your floors looking good. However, in order to really get the most out of your hardwood floors, you need to be able to take them on at least two or three occasions each year, depending upon how much use you have put them to.

Why Do I Need To Do It? This is a question that many people often ask themselves when they first start to notice that their hardwood floors aren’t looking quite as nice as they used to. If you don’t think that this will affect you enough to justify having them buffed, you might want to rethink your decision!

Firstly, this is a fantastic way to keep your floors looking as good as the day that they were installed. The only issue here is that since it’s not uncommon for wood floors to become slightly dull over time, you’ll have to buff them more often in order to keep their beauty and luster. When they are properly sanded and polished though, you should never have to do it more than once every year.

Is Refinishing Or Buffing Better? This comes down to a matter of personal preference. Some homeowners like to have their wooden floors refinished while others prefer to constantly have them buffed. Personally, I’ve always preferred to have my wooden floors refinished because it looks more natural; however, there are others out there that feel that it’s much better to have them buffed.

If I Have Spills On My Wood Floor, Should I Use A Stain or Paint? Depending on the stain or paint that you purchase, this will largely depend on whether or not it will hide any existing stains and scratches that may be present. If you have small scratches and blotches however, you’ll probably want to use a stain. If you have large splashes of color, you’ll probably want to use a paint.

Are There Different Types of Furniture That I Have on my Floor? There are actually several different types of furniture that you can have on your wooden floor. If you have a sofa, you can probably buff your floor right along with the sofa to get all of the scuffs and scratches out. If you have a love seat cushion, you can refinish these as well and they will match the rest of the wood nicely.

Is There Such a Thing As a Hardwood Floor Polishing Stone? Using a hard wood polishing stone is something that many people like to do. However, there are a couple of things that you should keep in mind when you buff your wooden floor with one of these stones. First, some of these stones can scratch and chip if they are used on an uneven floor. You need to make sure that you use the proper polishing pads on these floors so that they don’t have any trouble being scratched.

Another thing that you should keep in mind is that these are not meant for all types of wood floors. If you have a laminate floor, you won’t be able to buff this with the same ease that you would an oak or pine wood floor. For this type of wood flooring you need to use the proper equipment and know what you’re doing in order to get it right. This isn’t just a simple sanding and finishing that you would use on a pine or oak floor. The best type of Hardwood Flooring buffing that you can use on this type of wood is the Hardwood Floor Polish. This will help seal the wood floor and keep it clean without getting any scratches.
